Humming Bird Haven

Hummingbird Haven will provide your family a great vacation experience. Truely a haven, this multi-level home has a large great room, handy kitchen, generous bathroom, and a bedroom on the main level. The upper level has a master suite with a private deck and the lower level completes the sleeping arrangements with two more bedrooms. The roomy deck offers great views and a wonderful place for the family to gather for meals. Providing something for everyone, this unique property also has a fun tree house, a fire pit, a large boat dock with two slips and a diving board. The bost dock can accomodate a large Sailboat or a Float Plane! Trips to Wild Horse Island, a State of Montana game refuge, are just a short boat ride away. You can go for day hikes on numerous trails or you can go to the island at sundown for possible sighting of deer, big horn sheep, elk and bald eagles. There is a chance you may even see a bear and yes, wild horses from the safety of your boat as these animals come down to the water for an evening drink. Hummingbird Haven is within walking distance of three other homes managed by Montana's Best Vacation Homes. The total capacity of both homes is 18 people. This home is called Snug Harbor. Located on the West Shore of Flathead Lake Hummingbird Haven is in Rollins MT.. 25 minutes south of Kalispell, 30 minutes from Polson and Bigfork, 15 minutes from Lakeside, 90 minutes to Glacier National Park and 60 minutes to the National Bison Range. Activities close by include: Water sports, golf, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, sightseeing and shopping. Hummingbird Haven accommodates 12 people. No Smoking. No Pets.

    You need to advise guests about the keys to the (1) outside electrical breaker box and (2) the "Boathouse". We schlepped chairs, cushions and umbrellas from the house to the dock until the 5th day when a blown breaker required a phone call to the office to locate the box and key. The homeowner called us to tell us about the key and the one to the boathouse with all the cushions for the dock chairs, umbrella, etc. A minor inconvenience to an otherwise memorable stay. Also, the web site would be more helpful if it showed or told about the sleeping arrangements in the basement.
