Explore Montana's Flathead Valley

Located in Northwestern Montana, the Flathead Valley is one of the most scenic areas of America.  There are a number of interesting small towns that dot the area.

Nestled along the Northeastern tip of Flathead Lake is  Bigfork, a haven of arts and culture.  Bigfork is known for galleries, fine restaurants and the Bigfork Summer Playhouse.

Directly opposite of Bigfork on the Western Shore of Flathead Lake is Lakeside which is a fast emerging recreation area for all seasons with access to the lake in the summer and the Blacktail Ski Area in the winter.

Polson, at the South end of Flathead Lake boasts one of the best public golf courses in all of Montana and is the largest of the lake shore towns.

The majestic peaks of the Swan and Mission Mountain Ranges create an awe-inspiring backdrop for this active recreation area. Tempered by Flathead Lake, the Flathead Valley has surprisingly mild winters and very pleasant summers. Average summer temperatures range from 55 to 85 degrees F. The mild climate allows for the growing of a variety of fruits. The East shore slopes along Flathead Lake are dotted with cherry orchards, producing the famous Flathead Cherries.

A trip to the Flathead is not complete without a visit to Glacier Park and the spectacular and historic Going to the Sun Highway or by visiting the Winter mecca of Whitefish and Big Moutain Ski Resort.

Whatever you do in the Flathead Valley, the fun you have and the memories you create will have you coming back time and time again.
