Whetstone is located on the West Shore of Flathead Lake in the Rollins area. This area affords great bays and inlets to find nearby calm water for watersports even on a windy day.
The "like new" house has three bedrooms and two baths on three floors with the master in the loft. Whetstone is fully furnished, has Direct TV, DVD, VHS & CD Stereo. At the lake, the dock is well protected and covered and there is a picnic table on the 100 feet of lakeshore. Whetstone is a great place for a party of 2 , 4 or 6.
Whetstone is a great jumping off point for trips over to Wild Horse Island, a 25 square mile State owned Wild Life Refuge. Even though there are some private homes on the lakeshore of Wild Horse, the Island is open to the public during the daylight hours. On your hikes, take plenty of liquids and your camera. You might see deer, elk, big horn sheep, black bears and mayber even a wild horse.
Whetstone is within walking distance of three other homes managed by Montana's Best Vacation Homes. The total capacity of all four homes is 30 people. Those homes are Old Rollins School, Snug Harbor and Hummingbird Haven.
Whetstone and Rollins are centrally located 10 minutes from Lakeside, 25 minutes to Kalispell, 25 minutes to Polson, 25 minutes to Bigfork and one hour to Glacier National Park. Golf, fishing, horseback riding, watersports, shopping and sightseeing are all nearby. 6 people max.
