Old Rollins School is an ideal location for a small group (up to 6) looking to create memories on Flathead Lake. Rollins Bay is a quarter mile long inlet which is well protected from the occasional Flathead Lake storm. Old Rollins School is situated near the end of the inlet in the most protected portion of the Bay.
A large lawn in front of the Old Rollins School house and a large lawn area at the lake shore give you lots of room to do more than just play in the water. The house has two bedrooms, a living room dining area, kitchen and one bathroom. The sleeping arrangements include two Queen Beds, one in each bedroom and a Queen Sofa sleeper in the living area. The house also has a second refrigerator.
Rollins Bay is perfect for canoes or sea kayaks which can be rented locally. In addition, there is ample room to wake board or water-ski in the bay. Trips to Wild Horse Island, a State of Montana game refuge, are just a short boat ride away. You can go for day hikes on numerous trails or you can go to the island at sundown for possible sighting of deer, big horn sheep, elk and bald eagles. There is a chance you may even see a bear and yes, wild horses from the safety of your boat as these animals come down to the water for an evening drink.
Old Rollins School is within walking distance of three other homes managed by Montana's Best Vacation Homes. The total capacity of all four homes is 30 people. Those homes are Whetstone, Snug Harbor and Hummingbird Haven.
Old Rollins School is centrally located 10 minutes from Lakeside, 25 minutes to Kalispell, 25 minutes to Polson, 25 minutes to Bigfork and one hour to Glacier National Park. Golf, fishing, horseback riding, water sports, shopping and sightseeing are all nearby. 6 people max.
